Minutes 14th September 2004

Present :- Jane Pickard, Pat Fisher, Ann Ridley, Clr. Gerry Evans, Bernie Bullbrook, Rod Brown, Richard Moore, Chris Pointon, Jeff Avis.
Jane Pickard agreed to chair the meeting.
Apologies for absence were received from Clr. McConnell, Clr, Clare Whelan, Clr. John Whelan and Boker ?
The minutes of the last meeting were accepted.

Matters arising
Hainthorpe Estate
There will be reports back to both the next NAG and Ares Committee meetings.

Old Library
A report is awaited at the next NAG meeting.

Drinking Fountains.
It was agreed that NAG apply for a grant of £5000.00 and The Area Committee be asked to do likewise for restoration of the drinking fountains in West Norwood.

Tulse Hill Transport Hub
Richard Moore had attended a meeting with developers of the old Kavanagh site
Where he learned that the car wash will be closing and they are looking forward to further consultation. It was agreed that the developers be invited to attend the next NAG meeting.
Cameron Martin of London Borough of Lambeth will also be invited to attend.

Chris Pointon outlined the thinking behind the format of the survey and after some discussion it was agreed that it be accepted and, if possible with less pages.
It was suggested that collection boxes for the survey return could be placed, with agreement, in local shops and businesses and that there may be a possibility of responding through Virtual Norwood web site.
There was some discussion surrounding the matter of whether adequate transport provision would be made for the proposed new school in Elmcourt Road.

Norwood Park Trees.
It was agreed that Rod Brown would draft a letter stressing that any further grants should be on the understanding that the 'Protected View' should not be impaired.

St. Lukes Gardens
There would be an update at the next meeting.

Other business
We are to affiliate to Norwood Community Development Group and L.V.A.C
Access to cheques will need to be an agenda item for the next meeting.
