Matters arising.
The meeting was advised that there had been a concerted Police action on the Hainthorpe Estate resulting in tenants being made aware of their tenancy agreements and commitments. Section 17 of the Crime & Disorder Act obligates agencies to work in partnership but there had apparently been a lack of co-operation from London Borough of Lambeth Housing Department and only one A.S.B (Anti Socia Behaviour Order) had been issued
A public notice question has therefore been raised by Richard Moore.
Similar police actions had taken place on the York Hill estate.
Discussion took place surrounding vacant / undeveloped sites in West Norwood and proposals for Norwood Hall and the old Norwood College site. Rod Brown presented maps and plans for several sites in the area the.

It was learned that £250.000 had been allocated to St Lukes gardens for a minimum scheme over 2 years. A contract had been signed with Ground Work and consultation starts in October 2004
Technically the money is a gift to N.A.G. and St Lukes working party.
There will be provision for a water feature embodied in the design.
It was agreed that the Area Committee should apply for a grant of £5,000 to restore the drinking fountain and a separate £5.000 for the one in Knights Hill as small environmental projects.
The N.A.G logo should be embodied on all consultation documents.
